James and John were sons of thunder, Thomas was full of doubt, Simon the zealot was a terrorist. All of Jesus's disciples were ordinary men who had serious issues. But these ordinary men became extraordinary disciples because they had an extraordinary teacher. Whatever our shortcomings and background we are called, as were they, to be extraordinary disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ.
